About the Ledet Training Online Classroom

Ledet Training's online class experience is designed to duplicate our bricks and mortar face-to-face instructor-led training experience as closely as possible. In our online classes, the live instructor leads you through hands-on exercises by sharing his or her screen, just like the experience in our physical classrooms.
You'll be able to easily view the instructor's shared desktop, any powerpoint slides, and an interactive whiteboard live on your computer screen using the platform's full-featured screen sharing capability. You can see both the instructor's face and his or her desktop on your computer, and when necessary, click a button to easily elect to share your screen with him the instructor should you want to show them something or have them help you with a specific technique.
It's easy to communicate both with the instructor and your fellow classmates. You can speak normally using a USB headset or telephone, or, if you prefer, you can use the platforms integrated written chat feature to communicate both with the instructor and (optionally) with other students as well. Some people actually prefer to learn this way because there are a few things you can do when in a teleconference type classroom that you can easily do in a physical classroom. For example, you can easily ask questions without interrupting the instructor, or if desired, submit a communication in private so that only the instructor can see it. You have the option of muting your microphone if you need to speak with someone locally for a second, and you can set the volume exactly as you prefer.

We use the Zoom Meetings platform which is the world's #1 enterprise-grade video and web conferencing solution. This is the exact same streamlined and powerful platform used by almost all major universities for their online classes including such prestigious universities as Harvard, Stanford, and Yale. Getting ready for an online class at Ledet Training is simple. You just need to have the Zoom Meetings software installed on the computer you'll be using for your class.

Zoom Meetings software runs on both Windows and Macintosh computers as well as on mobile devices like phone and tablets, both Android and IOS. It can also run within a Web browser if necessary.

You can easily test the platform's compatibility with your environment by joining a sample meeting at https://ledet.zoom.us/test
