As COVID-19 continues to spread, we all have a role to play in the concerted public health response to this regional, national and global threat. Health officials advise that to slow a spreading virus like Covid-19, the right time for decisive action is before it is established in our communities and businesses. Although the risk to those attending our classes remains low, Ledet Training is escalating our response in order to protect our class participants, instructors and staff and the many communities we belong to.Effective March 11, 2020 the following policies are in place at Ledet Training:
- Online attendance is being made available for all classes. Advance notice of remote attendance of at least 48 hours is required so we can be prepared. With this notice, rescheduling fees will not apply.
- Ledet Trainining physical classrooms are limited to 12 students, but most classes are 6 or fewer. For the duration of this outbreak, Ledet Training is limiting all classes to 10 students or less and asking students to sit as far apart as possible and practice social distancing in the facility.
- For the duration of this outbreak, Ledet Training is waiving rescheduling fees for reschedule requests made with at least 72 hours (3 business days) notice. Due to financial constraints and obligations Ledet Training faces as a small business, existing refund policies and fees remain in place for those choosing to cancel their enrollment and receive a refund. Rescheduled classes are not eligible for refund.
- At Ledet Training, instructors are normally in the room with students for all bricks and mortar classes. However, COVID-19 is causing disruptions across the globe. Effective today, all instructors displaying symptoms or suspecting themselves of being exposed to the virus, are directed to teach their classes remotely. Participants will be informed as soon as the operations staff is made aware of an instructor teaching remotely. We expect this to be a relatively rare occurence. Should it occur, class participants will have the option of attending remotely, attending in our classroom physically, or rescheduling with no fee. We will return to normal delivery policies once the COVID-19 threat has subsided.
- Employees displaying symptoms or suspected of being exposed will be working from home.
- Employees, instructors and class participants are asked to follow all CDC recommended precautionary measures including 20-second (minimum) hand washing, both after bathroom use and as frequently as possible, and to also use paper towels to flush and turn on/off faucets. Further information on these measures and other measures being taken at Ledet Training is available at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html
We are taking these actions to protect the health and safety of everyone. I hope we can all be patient and respectful with one another as we cope with this extraordinary challenge. Respectfully, Sterling Ledet President, Ledet Training Note: The above policies are subject to change at any time in response to changing conditions. The situation regarding COVID-19 is fluid and more is being learned about this outbreak every day.
