COVID-19 Opening Policy

Plan and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

For Students

  • Ledet encourages frequent and thorough hand washing. If soap and running water are not immediately available, alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol will be available.
  • To facilitate engineering controls, Ledet will be utilizing high-efficiency air filters as well as increasing ventilation rates by keeping the back door open.
  • Ledet recommends an alternating break schedule that reduces the total number of persons in the break area at a given time, allowing everyone to maintain distance from one another while maintaining a full onsite work week.
  • Ledet will provide boxes of tissues in every room to cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Prompt identification and isolation of potentially infectious individuals is a critical step in protecting workers, customers, visitors, and others at a worksite. Persons exhibiting signs of illness, such as a persistent cough/sneeze or shortness of breath, will be asked to leave any class. While we are not charging any reschedule fees, refunds are not available for anyone exhibiting symptoms or signs of illness who is asked to leave class due to those

For employees

  • Ledet encourages frequent and thorough hand washing. Soap and running water are immediately available in the restroom of all facilities, and alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol are made available at the front desk of each facility.
  • Ledet requires employees to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 daily. Ledet requires workers to stay home if they are exhibiting signs of illness, such as a fever over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, or shortness of breath.
  • Ledet encourages respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.
  • Ledet discourages workers from using other workers’ phones, desks, offices, or other work tools and equipment, when possible.
  • Ledet will address concerns about pay, leave, safety, health, and other issues that may arise during this infectious disease outbreak.
  • Ledet discourage handshaking and other unnecessary person-to-person contacts in the workplace
  • Ledet training encourages all employees to wear masks in common areas where interactions with students may occur(i.e: while greeting).

For instructors

  • Ledet training requires instructors to wear face masks and will provide disposable surgical masks.
  • Ledet encourages frequent and thorough hand washing. Soap and running water are immediately available in the restroom of all facilities, and alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol are made available at the front desk of each facility.
  • Ledet Training requires instructors to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 daily .
  • Ledet requires instructors to notify us 48 hrs prior to scheduled delivery and stay home if they are sick. 
  • Ledet recommends an alternating break schedule that reduces the total number of persons in the break area at a given time in cases where more than one class is running in the facility at the same time, allowing everyone to maintain distance from one another while maintaining a full onsite work week.
  • Ledet discourage handshaking and other unnecessary person-to-person contacts in the workplace
